BTW, you put this development version at the place of the released one... Does this mean that 1.7.1.0 Beta German edition is a released version

To reproduce the problem, I opened to almost equal files (by regular Open icon on HxD). The files are exe files, one of them the "patched" version of the second; 2.7MB. I compared them, and I began moving along back and forth over the changes with F6 and Shift-F6. Most of the times on the ...

Fixed: HxD: Access violation when using file compare

I got such error in File Compare:
at 004089CE in module HxD.exe . Read of Address 7FE80000

Furthermore, it's also weird that if I click somewhere in on the file, the whole compare is after that "out of sync"

Thanks

Thanks,

HxD: Search with Regex

Hi Mael! Here is a feature a colleague asked me about: He wants to search in a binary file, through a binary regular expression. For example, to search a pattern like: 34 4? 57 and gets all the pattern matches with the second nibble as "don't care". If it's possible to get down to the bit ...

Well, that is fine, but I look at what is doing winhex, they simply go back to 0: 98 99 00 01 02... So it's perhaps enough (since what you will do if someone even more crazy than me wants to align every KByte!), but perhaps add on the status bar the column were the cursor is (like in some text edito...

Fixed: HxD: Buggy display of column-offsets >= 100

If you try to display more than 100 (in dec) char per lines, the numbering will take 1 offset left over the data.

Just try to display 200 char per lines! (in decimal).
And yes, it's very important to me.
