Manipulate (marked) content with funktions

This is my last "feature request" ... ;-) I'm thinking of a function to do some basic byte manipulation. Something like rot13(), rotXY(), xor() or similar on a marked selection. Checksums like md5(), sha() are even implemented yet. But in my case it could be useful, if the new contend ist changed in...

Search for any "words"

Sometimes I'm searching for ANY ASCII/Unicode text within a file. Something like a "grep" which returns all "words" with at least 3, 4 or 5 chars could be usefull. Otherwise I have to search for a certain string or scroll down all the ASCII Output.

In order to recognise filetypes ... e.g. - in memory - in discs - for files with wrong extension it would be useful to have an integration of the "GNU file" tool, which is very popular für X-Operating Systems, but not for Windows.
