Re: Add (changeable) hotkeys for checksums
What hotkeys do you have in mind specifically? To show the checksum selection window, or to immediately select a checksum? (Making them settable is not easily possible with the current toolbar system.) Ideally I'd like to set custom keybinds for any of the checksums. But I know this would take quit...

Re: Ignore "file" if it's a folder
Though, ignoring by default is still not that clean/expectable, as you might indeed want to open an entire folder in future. Or maybe compare folders, like WinMerge! I think adding an option --ignore-folder-params to HxD or similar is better. If something like this is planned, a switch/option certa...

Re: Ignore "file" if it's a folder
So to summarize your request, you want HxD to ignore parameters that are folders and not files? Why would you open HxD through SpeedCommander this way (with a folder parameter)? Hi, thank you for your reply. SpeedCommander is an Explorer replacement (like TotalCommander) and lets me add custom butt...

Re: Ignore "file" if it's a folder
Yes/no/maybe?
You released several versions since then, why not include a one-line fix for this problem?
I'll even code it for you if you put the source on github.

Re: Find and Goto dialogs
Regarding this subject:
- Please make HxD remember the last tab used - I never need text search so it's an additional unnecessary click to go to hex search.
- Please make HxD remember the last used search direction - I never need 'Forward' but 'All' so it's another unnecessary click.
Thank you.

"Stream Read Error" when switching Checksum with menu open
W7x64, HxD 2.2.1.0 - Open three files, size does not matter. - Calculate MD5 for one file -> At the bottom of the screen the checksum will be displayed along with a combobox to choose the other files. - Click on the combobox and the file list appears. - Use your keyboard(!) to move up/down to the ne...

Re: Add (changeable) hotkeys for checksums
While at it: Please make the window height a bit larger for the checksum selection.

Add (changeable) hotkeys for checksums
I use the checksum feature quite often.
Right now, this means I have to click several times to get to where I want to go.
Please let the user set hotkeys for certain checksum functions.
Thank you.

Ignore "file" if it's a folder
First of all, let me thank you for creating HxD - I've been using it for years and tries lots of different HexEditors, but none of them works for me like yours does. So I'm happy to see that you continue developing it. I would like to propose several enhancements (I will open separate threads as it ...
