But yeah I dunno why it defaulted to that one. The set of tools wasn't an installer or anything that would've changed the registry, it was like just a .zip I unzipped into a directory IIRC.

I figured out what it was. You wanna know what it was?

I kept running the HxD shortcuts and the reason why the DI kept disappearing was because those shortcuts and all the files I associated with HxD were actually apparently going to some much older obscure HxD version from some random directory ...

I don't know how to fix this, but I've had a problem for a long time now where the right-side window containing the special editors like the Data Inspector has gone missing.

I've tried everything to bring it back, CTRL + I does nothing and I've looked through all the settings and top bar options ...
