Hi,
I'm using a USB 2.0 SATA Bridge (external Casing) to connect an additional SATA hard disk that already has data in it. I want to read that data.
In 'Computer Management > Storage > Disk Management', am able to see this hard disk as 'Disk 2' - Dynamic, Invalid.
However, in HxD 'Extras > Open Disk' this disk is not visible. In the 'Physical Disks' list, it shows only the virtual CD drive created by my USB internet device (I have disabled my actual DVD drive and that is not displayed too - this is fine).
What should I do to make HxD detect my additional SATA drive connected using the bridge? Could you please help. Thanks!
Drive not detected in HxD
Re: Drive not detected in HxD
You probably haven't run HxD as administrator. Right-click HxD's icon and select "run as administrator". Hope that helps.

Re: Drive not detected in HxD
It worked. I was able to change the partition type in the partition table and recover my data. HxD is a great tool.
