I want to fix a problem I did myself create.
I used Repair console to write a MBR on a dynamic disk. That was a mistake, I choose the wrong drive.
Now he claims that the drive is offline ofcourse, and he found a new drive.
What I want to find is how I can make him understand that the new drive, is not unallocated. So where does he keep record of the created volumes and where and how does he keep track of wat kind of volume it is.
To be more precise:
I have to 40 gig drives, both dynamic and have created two striped volumes.
I was able to copy the first sector, but that is not enough apparentely.
Looking for info on stripes in Win2K (dynamic)

Beware not all things are what they appear to be.
Sorry, I don't know the details of how Win2K does striping and what you exactly need to fix this.
I wouldn't recommend using a disk editor to fix this by hand.
Looking for a specialized tool might be better, or ask in a specialized forum instead of a product-focused forum.
Chances are that there are more people that can help you there.
