"Range check error' if search results display something 16 bytes beyond the end of the file

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open or create a file that's larger than 16 bytes
2. Open the "Find" dialog and use "search all" to find specific bytes at the end of the file
3. Delete (16 + length of the search) bytes from the file, before or including the found bytes
4. Do something that updates the search results box, like switching tabs
