Data Inspector keeps disappearing!

I don't know how to fix this, but I've had a problem for a long time now where the right-side window containing the special editors like the Data Inspector has gone missing.

I've tried everything to bring it back, CTRL + I does nothing and I've looked through all the settings and top bar options.

If I uninstall the program and reinstall it, running it for the first time makes it come back. But once I run it a second+ time, it disappears again. So I have to keep reinstalling after every use.

It's driving me insane.

I figured out what it was. You wanna know what it was?

I kept running the HxD shortcuts and the reason why the DI kept disappearing was because those shortcuts and all the files I associated with HxD were actually apparently going to some much older obscure HxD version from some random directory somewhere on my computer. I downloaded at one point a set of tools I think for like emulator save editing or something, and one of those tools in that directory was HxD 2009. Why the heck all my shortcuts pointed to that when I already had a proper version of HxD that the shortucts originally pointed to prior to getting those tools is beyond me. So I was running the old version from 2009 without a data inspector this whole time when I thought the shortcuts were going to the actual proper one.

Ugh...

Good to know what the cause was. It seems you wrote me a mail, too, to which I replied, but didn't get a reply back. Did it go through?

Yeah it went through, I just didn't see that until after I figured it out here. Sorry lol.

But yeah I dunno why it defaulted to that one. The set of tools wasn't an installer or anything that would've changed the registry, it was like just a .zip I unzipped into a directory IIRC.
