An improvement to the search results would be to use the same rendering as file contents (monospaced font, leading-0 offsets, etc.).

The contents of the `Excerpt (text)` column for results from a `Search all` renders ampersands as menu alt-quick keys (underlining the next character as if it were a key you could press after pressing `Alt`). There is also an associated issue where searching for an ampersand or text that is near the ampersand has spacing issues. See below example of searching for "lt;":
