Open a file with HxD, press Ctrl+F, enter anything to search for, press OK and you get this error:

Access violation at address 004BB82C in module 'HxD.exe'. Read of address 00000008.

I hope you can find and fix it. Btw this function works fine in v1.6.1.0.

Yes, I found and fixed it (it happens when you open a file per command line or context menu)

A new version will be up, after some other fixes/bug reports.

Fixed in development version.
