Have you ever thought of digitally signing your exes?
I know it's unnecessary, but "Verified Publisher" 'feels' better than "Unknown" in UAC dialogs.

It's an additional recurring cost for a Freeware product, so I am not too keen on doing it at the moment.

There is a CSS popup on the download page, for every download. It shows SHA-1 and SHA-512 file signatures for each downloadable file.
